Growing up in the Okanagan Valley I had always used my curiosity and imagination for the world to guide me. This curiosity and thrill for life has taken me from the mountains of Vancouver to the rolling plains, living everywhere from the Quay in North Vancouver’s bay to the parliaments building as my backyard in Ottawa. I’ve lobster fished off New Brunswick’s coast and enjoyed poutine fest on the street on Montreal. Life continued to show me how beautiful it can be, if we just look.
In 2020, as the world closed in on us, I found myself at the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic as I worked on a rural travel healthcare team to help communities access COVID-19 resources and funeral services, which opened me up to a new curiosity, end of life care. Fast forward to now, where I am back to my roots of the Okanagan pursing my passion for end of life care and education to help my community continue to grow and expand the roles of alternative health and death care solutions.
